SIT-STAND-DOWN sign - Sign for recalls in obedience training
Recall sign used in DKK's Class 3 and Champ/Elite programs.
Use the sign in your training so you can practice stopping your dog at the right time.
If you are training the LP 3 program, your dog must perform 1 STOP at a distance of 10 m, positioned at the clearly indicated marker.
If you are training the LP Champ/Elite program, your dog must perform 2 STOPS at a distance of 30-35 m, positioned at the clearly indicated markers.
In both classes, the dog must stop within 3 body lengths (dog) relative to the sign/marker. It can be super difficult to judge when to give your command for the dog to stop at the sign/marker. I always use the markers in my training, partly so I get better at judging my dogs' stopping time, and partly so they don't focus on signs/markers as a distraction.
Make your training resemble a competition setup with the equipment used in DKK program competitions.
The smart aluminum signs have clear figures indicating which position your dog should take.
