Guide til clickers

Clicker training has many advantages when you train your dog. I train all my dogs using clicker training. It's an excellent method for capturing the precise moment for reward.

At unikhund, we have a large selection of good, solid clickers for dog training. The popular Clicino clicker ring is our best-selling clicker. Most dog trainers use the clicker method at some point.

I'd like to list a few advantages if you want to use a clicker in your dog training:

  • Precise timing – The clicker provides a clear and immediate marker of correct behavior, so the dog understands exactly what is being rewarded.

  • Reinforces positive behavior – The method is based on positive reinforcement, which makes training more motivating and fun for the dog.

  • Faster learning – Because the dog quickly understands what earns a reward, it learns new commands and tricks more quickly.

  • Clear communication – The click sound is consistent every time, providing a clearer message than the voice, which can vary in tone and intensity.

  • Increases cooperation – Dog and owner build a stronger relationship based on trust and reward rather than punishment or correction.

  • Can be used on all dogs – The method is effective regardless of breed, age, or prior training experience.

  • Makes training more fun – Both dog and owner have a more positive experience, as the focus is on reward rather than corrections.
