You can get the cones in 9 different colors. It can be a good idea to vary your color selection so your dog learns to see different cones in a competition setup.

These sturdy cones are used in dog training for both agility and obedience.

If you are training obedience according to DKK's programs, this cone model is part of all LP classes.

In the Danish Kennel Club's (DKK) obedience trial (LP), four cones are typically used for the "around the cones" exercise. The cones are placed in a square with a specific distance between them.

LP Class 1
  • Distance: The handler positions themselves 5 meters from the cones with the dog.
  • Command: When the handler gives the signal, the dog must run towards the cone, go around it, and then return to the handler in the heel position.
LP Class 2
  • Distance: The handler positions themselves 10 meters from the cones with the dog.
  • Command: When the handler gives the signal, the dog must run towards the cone, go around it, and then return to the handler in the heel position.
LP Class 3

Here there is an exercise that involves 1 × retrieve, 1 jump, and "around the cones".

  • Distance: The handler positions themselves 18–20 meters from the cones with the dog.
  • Around the cone: At the signal from the handler, the dog runs towards the cone and goes around it. Once the dog has rounded the cones, it must be stopped, after which it is commanded to retrieve, jump, and then assume the heel position.
LP Class CHAMP/Elite

Here there is an exercise that involves 2 × retrieve, 2 jumps, and "around the cones".

  • Distance: The handler positions themselves 18–20 meters from the cones with the dog.
  • Around the cone: At the signal from the handler, the dog runs towards the cone and goes around it. Once the dog has rounded the cones, it must be stopped, after which it is commanded to retrieve, jump, and then assume the heel position.
