Since the amount of treats is often high during training (who doesn't know that?), healthy ingredients are particularly important. FIDELIS training bones are made from pure turkey meat and have a touch of glycerin extracted from rapeseed oil (a fat component). The healthy glycerin binds water and gives the soft consistency.

The training bones are produced in FIDELIS' own factory – without additives such as corn, wheat, soy, colorings, preservatives, meat meal or other fillers – and are gently air-dried. Their air-drying technology is a modern interpretation of centuries-old methods for preserving meat.

What distinguishes FIDELIS' production from other methods?

Extruded dry food

The most common production method for dog food is extrusion – about 90% of all dog food is produced this way. Regardless of the ingredients listed on the packaging – organic, free-range, vegan, or with insects – everything is mixed into a dough, kneaded, and pressed through a die at high pressure and high temperatures to form the familiar kibbles.

Extrusion requires poorly digestible raw materials such as carbohydrate residues, starch, and animal meals. Modern methods allow a maximum of 30% fresh raw materials in the mixture – otherwise, it won't hold together. The result is brown pellets without taste and with low nutritional content. To make them more appealing, fats and artificial vitamins are sprayed on afterward.

The consequences of feeding extruded food can be allergies, poor digestion, strong odor from the coat, intestinal problems, etc.
