Snuffle Mat Sunflower - Activation for dogs

Snuffle Mat Sunflower - Activation and stimulation for dogs of all ages

The beautiful sunflower made of strong felt fabric is perfect for activating and mentally stimulating your dog.

Snuffle mats/rugs are very popular among dog owners, and for several good reasons

1. Mental stimulation: The snuffle mat provides the dog with a good mental challenge, as it has to use its sense of smell and brain to sniff out its reward or food, which is hidden in the snuffle mat. This can help keep the dog occupied and prevent boredom.
2. Calming effect: All activities that involve sniffing have a calming effect on most dogs. When the dog spends time sniffing and searching for food/treats, it helps reduce stress and anxiety in some dogs.
3. Immersion in natural behavior: Sniffing activities mimic dogs' natural behavior, as dogs in nature use their nose to explore and search for food. The snuffle mat allows the dog to use this behavior at home.
4. Pastime: The snuffle mat is a great way to keep your dog occupied and entertained during the day, especially when you need to perform tasks where the dog needs to be kept busy.
5. Training and reward: The snuffle mat can also be used as a reward tool in your training. When the dog has completed the task/exercise, the reward can be to be sent to the snuffle mat to find its reward.

You have plenty of opportunities to hide your dog's food or treats in one of the sunflower's many hiding places. With the snuffle mat, your dog can use its natural sniffing instinct as it sniffs out its food or treats.

Who can benefit from the snuffle flower?

• Dogs that gobble their food
• Dogs that are stressed
• Dogs that are bored
• Puppies that need activation
• Dogs whose focus needs to be shifted - e.g. if you are training calm when guests arrive

The snuffle mat is suitable for dogs of all sizes and ages. It can be used both indoors and outdoors.

I recommend that you always keep an eye on your dog when it is using a snuffle mat/rug. Some dogs love to chew and destroy things, especially puppies. I NEVER let my dogs use snuffle mats/rugs when they are home alone. I know that many stores write in their descriptions that snuffle mats can activate your dog when it is alone. But all toys can be destroyed, and the dog can swallow parts.
